Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars The Watercolor Sketchbook Kit   November 24, 2008
This is a smaller book than I am used to for an art how- to- difficult to see the techniques outlined because of smaller page sizes. I didn't like it as well as the other art books I recently ordered.

5 out of 5 stars Solid Gift   May 15, 2008
I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend, who mentioned an interest in painting on several occasions. The book has some beautiful examples and the supplies (while small) seem to be of good quality and have been enjoyed.

5 out of 5 stars Great introductory book/kit; great value as well   January 9, 2008

I'm new to watercolors, and I found this book to be a great introduction - many, many good illustrations, much discussion about materials, colors/mixing/theory, technique, light, etc. I'm sure I'll refer to the book again and again as I learn to paint with watercolors. The 'sketch pad' is a nice size, too, and the kit includes 2 brushes and a minimal set of watercolors with 2 other small areas to mix colors. A good travel kit.

This kit is wonderul, and if you have a person in the house who likes to draw/color/sketch/shade, give them this book and watch their skills improve. NICE
