Product Description
Hundreds of effective tips and illustrations help launch anyone into the wonderful world of sketching. Mari shares an intimate way to record travel experiences, allowing one to slow down and capture the moment. The approach presented in this book is not about doing good drawing or painting. It is about letting the hand record what the eye sees with whatever tool is available, without rules or recipes. All you need is your hand, your eyes, your heart and the desire to travel differently.

This is a very inspirational book that is well written! I have already accomplished personal sketches just by following the step-by-step instructions that Maria suggests. The best part is it is really written by her students!

5 out of 5 stars Review of "The Art of Travel With a Sketchbook"   November 5, 2007

To start at the end, "Make each day in life more meaningful by capturing Priceless Memories" is the beginning of an adventure everyone should take. Marie Le Glatin Keis' book, "The Art of Travel With a Sketchbook" is just plain captivating.

She provides simple instructions and major motivation to capture memories using art and words. There are six sections with easy-to-follow tips on how to make memories not only when traveling but even in daily life. The examples of her student's words, art and growth are proof that it works for beginners and even experienced artists.

I am already a daily sketcher and I was motivated to do, try more and enjoy more.

Art and words: so simple yet so powerful!
