Inspiring words and projects, an amazing book! December 17, 2008 This is one of the best art project books I've ever bought. It is full of creative projects that do not require elaborate equipment or skills beyond the beginner to intermediate artist. Many of the projects are designed to help you find inspiration and create personal pieces of art. In addition to all the wonderful projects, the words by each artist who has contributed to this book are also worth the purchase. The insights they share and personal stories are just as inspiring as the projects. I sat down and read this book over the course of two evenings as a good "read" and look forward to starting my projects after one more read though. I absolutely love this book and can't recommend it highly enough.
This could be a good book- December 4, 2008 I am 61 years old and I do wear glasses but even with their help the print in this book was too small. I suppose that there is a lot of great information in this book but I couldn't see it. I was truely disappointed in not being able to read this. I guess I will have to wait and see if it comes out on tape.
Kaleidoscope -- Great Book November 15, 2008 This is a great book, even for those just starting out, there is so much inspiration in this book. For those who are starting an art journal or an altered art book. It is visual delight. As a matter of fact, I have loaned this book out to my sister and have yet to have it returned. I guess that means I will buying it again. This book is with out a doubt worth the price.
Book on Crack October 1, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is written in a really small font on highly decorated background paper. It was really hard to pull the text from the backgound in many places. The style that it is written in is fun and whacky, but really scattered and fragmented as well. I can't say that the book was very helpful or inspirational. It was just odd and difficult to read. If you buy it, get a used copy.
Print way too small for my eyes August 31, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I returned this book as I could not read it. I found the print way too taxing on my eyes, especially the small print on the dark background. One chapter is red print on a green background, making it very difficult to read in a relaxed manner.
Although the illustrations are beautiful, I found them distracting, especially since I had a difficult time reading the small print.
Don't let that discourage you from ordering this book, you may not have a problem with it.
