4 out of 5 stars Easy to follow techniques for sketching   March 20, 2006

Even if you are a new artist, HuaTao Zhang explains sketching in a very simple straght-forward way. I tried several of the methods and was pleasantly surprised at the results. I tried not to control my sketching, and to just let things happen. It works! I plan to use this book to teach an art adult education class. People are often afraid to be free and want to do things perfectly the first time. This book lets aspiring artists know it's ok not to be perfect. The book is very beautiful, and I believe I got my money's worth!
