A beautiful, beautiful book May 1, 2008
I loved this book. It would be a must have for anyone who loves classical art, there is very little postmodern art in here. I think it would be a good starting point for any art history major. For each painting it has the painters biography and the possible meanings behind the painting, such as what the colors used represent and the positioning of the body. Each painting has a close up of the women/woman and a smaller picture of over all painting.
