  watercolor techniques January 8, 2009 The book is excellent as far as illustrations and demonstrations on texture techniques.Many books explain briefly how to do techniques but you don't get the whole picture. Joye really explains and shows you how she does things. Great for the experienced as well as beginner painter.

  Awesome, even for a beginner!! January 4, 2009 As a beginner, I was able to follow the ideas and techniques with ease! I love the practical way the book is put together! So many tips and hints for those of us who are aspiring artists, without years of theory behind us! I just love the step-by-step process with lots of colored pictures to support the directions. You can tell that Joye is a true teacher, who keeps even the beginner in mind as she instructs. Truly an awesome "hands on" method book with many different ways to succeed at watercolor techniques!
